We need Representatives! (Steve Turner) 2022

​In 1992, Steve Turner went to Brazil on a short-term mission trip that changed his life. He saw God working and knew this was what he was called to do. While he felt called to serve with the ministry in Brazil—he also felt called to stay in the USA to do it. In doing so, over the next 25 years he served as World Renewal’s first country representative. Steve returned to Brazil almost every year after that—sometimes multiple times a year—leading trips and making connections all over the USA for Brazil. He spoke at churches and small groups and individuals: anyone who wanted to know more about what God was doing in Brazil.
Since Steve joined the team, the ministry in Brazil has grown from one family to over 20, and from one church plant to over 30. Tele Moraes, WRB director, often visits the USA as well, but without this on-the-ground connection with Steve, he couldn’t have made the impact that has been accomplished.
