World Renewal was honored to have partnered with Nick Fiano since 2010, when a mission's trip ignited a fire for missions in him. He served as a board member and mission partner in the DR and Haiti. We will miss him greatly, but rejoice that he is now with Jesus, healthy and whole. We are leaving this website page the same for a time, as we grieve and remember what all God has done through this man and this family.
A 2010 trip to Brazil ignited a fire for missions in Nick Fiano. By 2015, the whole Fiano family was involved with some projects in Haiti for Pastor Luc and Pastor Maula, with Nick visiting four times, and their son Kael joining once. With the added danger and difficulties in Haiti, they had to pause that ministry, but their hearts never left. Their prayer has been that God would open doors for them to love and minister to their dear friends in Haiti.
In early 2022 the Fiano family went on an extended sabbatical in the Dominican Republic after making the decision to close their family business of 20 years, to seek God’s will for their future. During their stay God opened many doors, and they started a Bible study that has now grown to about 10-12 individuals. They are studying the Word and equipping these great people to be leaders in their first church plant in the DR.
The vision is to plant and solidify the first church that in turn multiplies out from there to share the gospel. Our long-term vision is to create a cross-country ministry alliance with our teams in Haiti. Many of our local leaders in the DR are Haitians that have fled from their homeland to search for opportunities, and still have a deep love for their homeland. Please pray as the Fianos return to the DR to train and build up others for the calling God has on their lives.
