UNITED KINGDOM
Reaching Communities with Christ

World Renewal is proud to partner with two ministries in the UK!

Mourne Gospel Fellowship is a non-denominational church in the heart of Kilkeel, County Down, committed to glorifying God, proclaiming the Gospel, building up believers, and sharing Christ’s love throughout the community. Pastor Johnny Brown has led the fellowship since 2017, bringing over 30 years of full-time ministry experience. Having given his life to Jesus at age 12 and begun preaching at 13, his heart is to see people come to know Christ and grow in their faith.
The fellowship places a strong emphasis on biblical teaching, prayer, worship, evangelism, and the work of the Holy Spirit. More than a congregation, it is a church family where people from all walks of life find encouragement, support, and a shared faith in Jesus. Beyond Sunday services, Bible studies, and prayer meetings, the church serves the wider community through practical outreach, including the MGF Clothes Bank, community drop-in, mental health support through Heads Up, and free fuel for those experiencing poverty. Through these ministries, the church offers friendship, pastoral care, and practical help to those in need. As Mourne Gospel Fellowship looks to the future, its mission remains the same: to glorify God, make disciples, equip families, and share the love of Christ throughout the Mourne community.
In 2020, Markinhos and his wife Andrea moved to the United Kingdom from Brazil, where he had known Tele Moraes for many years. Over their long friendship, he had seen Tele plant church after church, and Markinhos firmly believed that this was God's design. The Ribeiros found a robust community of Brazilians in their southwest part of England, with many of them seeking a deeper connection with the Lord. They partnered with the Baptist Church for the Nations, and are working toward forming their own house church.
They have begun a ministry to the elderly in their community, and also continue their outreach through web radio. Building relationships and serving their neighbors and family in day-to-day life is a great adventure. You can read more in their latest newsletter.
Markinhos knew he was funny and wanted to make people laugh since he was little. A great ventriloquist and puppeteer, he could draw crowds and build excitement anywhere. Little did he know that God would have him use his passion to draw others to Christ. If you’ve known Markinhos for long, you’ve probably met his friend, Bibi the Black Bird. Together, they’ve been sharing Jesus in person and on the radio for many years now. World Renewal Brazil runs an International Web Radio, where Markinhos (and Bibi’s) show, Programa Praise and Play, has around 2000 regular, weekly listeners.
