CENTER FOR BIBLE AND MINISTRY STUDIES

Learn the Bible: Live It. Lead Others.
The World Renewal Center for Bible and Ministry Studies (CBMS) began in 2020 through classes taught at Brandywine Community Church in Greenfield, IN. Today, we offer New Testament Survey classes online, available anytime. To get started, email wrclasses@worldrenewal.org.
CBMS also offers a Leadership & Ministry certificate in partnership with Community Arms, with courses that may earn college credit through the Evangelical Training Association. Classes focus on learning the Bible and putting it into practice. Tuition is $25, including the textbook, with scholarships available.

ONLINE CLASSES
Thank you for your interest in World Renewal's Center for Bible and Ministry Studies' New Testament Survey One classes online. The New Testament Survey uses the book, "New Testament Survey", from the Evangelical Training Association. Use the link to purchase the book. World Renewal is not affiliated with Evangelical Training Association, outside of our decision to use their curriculum.
If you are interested in taking this course for college credit, please contact World Renewal for more information on how to receive credit upon completion of all 3 parts of New Testament Survey. Students requesting credit must turn in assignments and meet completion time requirements, so call or email us in order that we can track your progress accurately.
Please Note: The slides in the videos that state "Session {X}" may not be accurate. Often, we were unable to complete a unit in one session, and that session resumed the following week. Rest assured, the title of the video (ex. Part 1 Week 08) IS accurate. Some slides were re-used by the instructor in the videos, leading to this discrepancy. If you follow along using the video titles, you will be watching them in the correct order.
Part One of the New Testament Survey class gives students an overview of the world as it was in the New Testament, to help learners understand the context New Testament writers expected the audience to understand. It then covers The Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as well as Acts. There are 11 class recordings, each approximately one hour long. Some classes include handouts. Pastor Jim Lawler is the core teacher of the class, joined frequently by Dr. Gary Wright, who opens many of the classes with a short story lesson to make the characters in the Bible more relatable.

PART 1

NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY PART 2
Part Two of the New Testament Survey class covers the writings of Paul, called The Pauline Epistles. Students learn who Paul was, how he was converted from a vicious exterminator of Christians into the Disciple to the Gentiles, and about the different styles of arguments for Christ Paul used to tune his message to the different audiences he wrote to. There are 12 classes, each approximately one hour, including some classes with handouts. Because there is so much more content to cover in this class than in class 1, Dr. Wright limited his appearances.
