MEET THE TEAM
The Albuquerques Carlos “Guga” Albuquerque is a missionary, educator, and community leader serving in northeastern Brazil alongside his wife, Alyssa and their three children Oliver, Bella, and Christian. Together, they serve with World Renewal Brazil, working through education, discipleship, and pastoral ministry to reach families and young people with the gospel. Through his work at the International School and his leadership in the Desterro community, Guga seeks to form not only academically prepare students, but men and women who fear God and live with purpose. The Albuquerque family represents a new generation of leaders committed to faithful presence, long-term discipleship, and gospel-centered transformation in Brazil.
The Andrades Wallace Andrade uses his passion for business to serve God and others. Growing up in the Community Church of Tracunhaem, he discovered that his gifts for organization and leadership could be a powerful tool for ministry. Today, Wallace manages a RE/MAX real estate franchise with World Renewal Brazil, where he helps turn business into mission—creating steady resources that support missionaries and ministry projects across Brazil. He also works to strengthen the ministry from the inside by helping teams become more organized and effective. Wallace, his wife, Nayane (a nurse and part of the International Web Radio women’s program), and their young son Jose, are part of a new generation of leaders who are inviting others to partner with them as they use everyday business to make an eternal impact.
The Barbosas Jose (Wilson) and Manju Barbosa serve with World Renewal Brazil with their children, Ariela and Adin, building cross-cultural bridges and strengthening ministry locally and internationally. Wilson supports the work through partnerships, organizational development, translation, volunteer coordination, and creative outreach, including teaching English. Manju serves at the International School, provides bookkeeping support, and offers hospitality and discipleship through teaching and care. As a family, they live out the Great Commission at home by welcoming others, building prayerful community, and trusting God’s provision as they serve in Brazil, including ongoing care for Adin’s medical and developmental needs.
The Gallops Daniel and Brianna Gallop have experienced a remarkable journey. After sensing God’s call to serve with World Renewal Brazil in 2017, they spent four months in Brazil in 2021—where their seventh child was born. They began making final preparations to move when their local church asked them to receive additional training and serve at home for a season. In obedience, they delayed their departure and have faithfully served stateside. In 2024, Daniel and his pastor visited Brazil, and, Lord willing, their family of ten plans to move to Brazil in 2026.
The Gouveias Marilia and Ubiratan Gouveia have served with World Renewal Brazil since 2015, working among indigenous communities in the Amazon region. During the pandemic, restrictions forced them to leave the tribal areas, and they began ministering to children living outside the indigenous zones. This developed into the “Near the Amazon” Living Stones program, launched in 2021. Now that restrictions have lifted, the Gouveias are once again able to serve indigenous children as well. At this time, however, there are no consistent sponsors for these precious children as the Gouveias continue to serve various communities in the area.
The Limas Damerson and Fernanda Lima, along with their children Joao Pedro and Maria Ester, serve as missionaries with World Renewal Brazil. Damerson served as chaplain for the International School for many years (where Fernanda is a teacher) before moving into his current role as coordinator for ABBA Camp. Both Damerson and Fernanda serve on International Web Radio, and Damerson is part of the leadership team for IMPACT outreach. Please pray for the Lima family as they work to raise financial support, and consider partnering with them.
The Moraes' Tele Moraes came to Christ at a Word of Life camp in Brazil after a friend invited him, promising, “There’s a pool!” Heather, the daughter of lifelong missionaries from England serving with the Salvation Army, grew up in Brazil. Together, they have served the Lord faithfully for more than 40 years—first with Word of Life, and for the past 30+ years as founders and leaders of World Renewal Brazil. They are deeply grateful for the prayers and support they’ve received during Heather’s significant health challenges in recent years. They have witnessed God’s miraculous provision and healing. World Renewal Brazil has now planted more than 41 churches, with six new church plants actively in progress, each supported by a mother church and dedicated church planter.
The Ribeiros Lane was invited to the Guadalajara church as a young teen by her friend Misse, who welcomed her both spiritually and practically into her family. When the sports program lost its leader, Lane and Misse took over, understanding how vital it was for the local children. Under their leadership, it grew into a Living Stones program, and Lane became its coordinator in 2017. She graduated from the Northeast Bible Seminary in 2019 and entered missionary candidacy soon after. Lane married Cezar in 2022. Cezar had been one of the children who attended the sports program years earlier. Through his time there, he came to know Jesus, experienced a transformed life, and later began helping with the children—growing closer to Lane along the way. Their daughter, Laura, was born in 2025. Lane is now pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education while continuing to coordinate Living Stones Guadalajara as a World Renewal Brazil missionary.
The Snows John and Annapaula Snow, with their children Isaac and Deborah, have served together with World Renewal Brazil since 2016. John was part of the early church-planting teams and later joined the board of directors. As a family, they serve in Day Camps, IMPACT, public-school ministry, Living Stones, and at the International School. John is leading the work at ABBA camp that has so made a difference for thousands of public-school students and community growth, and is an elder/church planter with new congregations connected with the Community Church of Paudalho.
The Santanas Pastor Augustinho Santana, along with his wife, Nadja, and daughter, Milena, serves with World Renewal Brazil as pastor of the Community Church of Carpina—the first church planted in that region—and as president of the Northeast Bible Seminary (SBNE). Pastor Augustinho has faithfully served Christ for 25+ years, and World Renewal is deeply grateful for his steady leadership. SBNE, since 1999, has been preparing pastors, church planters, and lay leaders both within Brazil and beyond. With students across in-person programs, online courses (including students in Mozambique), and classes held within local churches, the seminary continues to equip Christians for service throughout the Portuguese-speaking world. Scholarships are a great way to help the many students who desire theological training but lack the financial means to pursue it.
The Santos' Kervin came to Christ through Glory Sports ministries after growing up as one of the energetic kids running around the church in Carpina. The church embraced him, discipled him, and soon he was serving through Glory Sports, the IMPACT ministry, and at the International School. Kervin and his wife, Thais—also involved in sports ministry and teaching—grew in faith and ministry together. Today they are raising their daughter, Melissa, who attends the International School’s nursery. The Santos family represents the next generation of passionate leaders reaching their communities for Christ in Brazil.
The Taylors David Taylor serves as a missionary with World Renewal Brazil, discipling men and youth through Missional Martial Arts with Glory Sports and through Fight Club 414, a men’s discipleship movement. Together with his wife, Ivana, they open their home as a place of mentorship, training, and spiritual growth. Ivana also serves at the International School of Carpina and together they lead Bible studies for teenagers, investing deeply in the next generation. David and Ivana faithfully build and translate resources for their ministries while walking closely with the people they serve. Their work depends on prayer and partnership—both for the ongoing discipleship of youth and families, and for practical needs that support their ministry and daily life. They invite others to come alongside them as they continue serving and building lives with World Renewal Brazil.
The Ricardo Silvas Ricardo Silva and his family have been planting churches with World Renewal Brazil since 1998. He has planted Community Church of Guadalajara (1998–2010), Amexas (2002–2005), Lagoa de Itaenga (2003–2024), and Feira Nova (2018–present). The whole family serves together: Kattia leads the women’s ministry and teaches Bible for Living Stones; Rebecca (currently in college) leads worship and helps with Living Stones on weekends; Eric (high school) does church media; and Ricardo oversees the church, with a focus on ministry to men and couples. They ask for prayer for daily strength, for the children and families they serve, and for personal financial support—they are currently funded at about 65%.
Amanda Santana Silva Amanda grew up as one of the children in the church at Lagoa de Itaenga, Brazil. Over the years, her dedication and leadership became so evident that Pastor Ricardo invited her to serve as the coordinator of the Living Stones ministry in Feira Nova. To deepen her biblical training, she studied at Word of Life Bible College and the Northeast Bible Seminary. She now serves as an official missionary with World Renewal Brazil. In her words: “I have the privilege of working with church planting—a passion the Lord placed in my heart that compels me to bring the Gospel to places where Christ is not yet fully known. I deeply love the calling God has given me and see the mission as both a privilege and an act of obedience to the One who saved me. My heart is especially drawn to children, as I believe they are precious in the Father’s eyes and a vital generation for the future of the Church.”
Misselana Silva Misse grew up attending the church in Guadalajara, Brazil, and gave her life to Jesus at a young age. She invited many friends to join her, including Lane, who became like family. At sixteen, recognizing the importance of their church’s sports program for the community, Misse and Lane stepped in to lead it when the previous leader stepped down, eventually developing it into a Living Stones program. Knowing she was called to serve as a missionary with World Renewal Brazil, Misse pursued theological training at the Northeast Bible Seminary. She is currently completing her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, teaching at the International School, and serving with Living Stones Guadalajara. After years of preparation, she is now an official missionary with World Renewal Brazil.
The Travassos Flavio and Mercia Travassos are church planters and leaders of the Boa Esperança Living Stones program and the Community Baptist Church there. In 2020, they were sent by the headquarters in Carpina to serve in a rural community eight hours away—often referred to as “the middle of nowhere.” The rural Northeast has a great need for Bible-believing churches, and the Travassos family gladly answered that call. Alongside local leaders, they LEND—love, educate, nourish, and direct to Jesus—at-risk children, helping their community flourish through the Living Stones ministry. Their church plant continues to grow and has opened new doors for ministry in nearby communities.
