In 2011, a young man who grew up on the streets of Uganda named Jeslor decided to begin teaching the kids in his community English to give them a skill to help them in life. As this local leader worked to show his neighbors the love of Jesus, they had trust that the future would be better: hence the name, Trust Future Ministries.
World Renewal is proud to walk alongside this ministry, which has grown to become a nursery, pre- and grade school (to 7th grade), a child sponsorship group that sends kids on to finish high school, orphan care (many of the children at the school live there full time) and women/youth empowerment skill training (especially for kids who can’t go to secondary school and widows). They have 16 workers, 9 of whom are teachers, and over 200 students. |
Provide for NEEDSN: Necessary medical care and training for everyone involved in the program
E: Education in three parts: the staff and supplies to run the school, orphan care (over 70 of the school children are orphans living at the school), and child sponsorship for the children once they finish 7th grade to be able to graduate through high school. E: Empowerment skills training for children who cannot go to secondary school, and for disadvantaged women, especially widows. D: Daily Food S: Sustainability. Currently there are three big projects: a well ($6,500), a pig program ($2000), and a poultry program ($1000). (Please give to Empowerment for these, with a note for what project you would like to support) |
