Mirandiba Living Stones has begun in 2026!

We are excited to introduce you to the newest Living Stones program in Brazil! World Renewal Brazil began a relationship with pastor Joel (a passionate church planter) of the Baptist Church in Mirandiba a couple of years ago. Mirandiba is about seven hours inland from the WRB headquarters. His community is made up of many indigenous peoples, and Quilombolas (Quilombolas are descendants of escaped African slaves with unique Afro-Brazilian cultural heritage and a protected peoples status). Their community struggles with poverty in the rural, dessert-like area of Northeast Brazil. We are happy to share that this program is being supported financially by the Brazilian company, but we invite you please begin praying for these precious children! 

Living Stones is the only child sponsorship program that is church planting THROUGH child sponsorship. Because Living Stones is a part of World Renewal Brazil, which has a church planting focus, it is never JUST about child sponsorship. We know many children will come for the food, fun, education, or support and care, but there will be those that find a home and family and decide to become the next generation of leaders that reaches out to their communities: and to the world.
With World Renewal you are sponsoring children: not a child. 90% of the money you give goes directly to the church to use for the children in their community. Please feel free to write and pray for a specific child at the location, knowing the support goes towards all of the children.​​
