ABBA Living Stones is Changing Lives

Right across the street from ABBA camp in Brazil is a public school called Paulo VI. Last year, the roof of the school was damaged, closing down the school. The community of Cha de Pinheiro was in a panic: what could they do? Would their children miss the last 4 months of the school year? World Renewal Brazil quickly worked together to open the doors of ABBA camp to the school children: the teachers walked across the street and used the ABBA facilities to finish the school year triumphantly!
The relationship between ABBA camp, the community of Cha de Pinheiro, and the Paulo VI school has continued to grow. Paudalho Community Church saw this door open, and felt called to start a church, based at ABBA camp: Community Church of Cha de Pinheiro. And the best way to plant a church? Through Living Stones! We are excited to share with you the 12th Living Stones program: ABBA Living Stones. 
Living Stones is the only child sponsorship program that is church planting THROUGH child sponsorship. Because Living Stones is a part of World Renewal Brazil, which has a church planting focus, it is never JUST about child sponsorship. We know many children will come for the food, fun, education, or support and care, but there will be those that find a home and family and decide to become the next generation of leaders that reaches out to their communities: and to the world.
With World Renewal you are sponsoring children: not a child. 90% of the money you give goes directly to the church to use for the children in their community. Please feel free to write and pray for a specific child at the location, knowing the support goes towards all of the children.​

World Renewal Brazil is so grateful to everyone who believed in the vision to purchase ABBA camp in 2022. In 2025, over 15,000 students came and heard about Jesus, and 1,600 made decisions for Christ. 80% of the maintenance cost for running ABBA camp was covered through the recycling program, and making/selling Jelly and Brooms (which also provided needed jobs in the community)! There are now 122 public schools from 7 cities that want to come to send their students to ABBA camp in 2026! Consider helping support the operating costs at ABBA camp, as it covers much more than just camps, this is now the home of the 10th Living Stones in Brazil, as well as a new church plant.
