Our Eyes Are on You Lord
When chased by King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, Elijah, the great man of God, ran in fear and depression. He had just experienced great spiritual and ministry victory at Mount Carmel. Yet, in anxiety and depression, he asked God to let him die. God asked him the question “Elijah, what are you doing here?” (1 Kings 19:9)
In contrast, King Jehoshaphat (2 Chronicles 20) when surrounded by overwhelming enemies prayed, “Lord, we don’t know what to do but our eyes are on you.” It’s okay to admit, “I don’t know what to do,” to ourselves and God. But our default position needs to be, “Our eyes are on you.” This means we are depending on God’s wisdom, strength, and solutions.
In midst of this current storm, let’s all keep our eyes on Captain Jesus. He will guide us to Safe Harbor.
